It's still Christmas but there's distinctly less Mariah since the last post so it's a double whammy of goodness really. On the cooking front I decided I wanted to give turkey a go despite not really loving it and my girlfriend positively disliking it. That was a popular choice. So off we trotted to M&S to pick up a free-range turkey. We broke it down, made stock for sauce and gave it a whirl.

Glazed ham
It's Christmas. There's food, drink, time off work and more Mariah Carey than anyone could call healthy. Whichever way you slice it, despite the Carey, it's a fab time of year. This one's the first with the water bath and it's being used to its fullest, not because I'm trying to crowbar it into proceedings just because I've got one, but because it's the best tool for certain cooking jobs.
